SOFIA, May 12

The court martial of the Communists, accused in connection with the cathedral outrage, has concluded.

Nine, including the sacristan, Zadgorski and Friedman, were sentenced to death; two sentenced to six years, and three to a year’s imprisonment, respectively. Five others -were sentenced in' their absence, and in addition seven persons, including Friedman were lined 1,000,000 leva each, Zadgorski 5(50,000 leva, Daskaroff and Kambounoff 30,000 and 20,000 respectively.

BULGARIA APPEALS FOR BRITAIN’S AID.

The special Sofia correspondent of the “Daily Express” states that he had an interview with King Boris anu his Ministers, in which they appealed for the assistance of the Foreign Powers, especially Britain, to overcome the difficulties still confronting Bulgaria. The Ministers deny political reprisals, and declare that their struggle is against the Bolshevists alone. They deny designs against Serbia and Greece, but emphasise that Bulgaria must have an outlet to the spa, through one or other of those countries.
