Several European Deaths.

OUTBREAK BELIEVED ABATING. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received May 11, 7.15 p.m.) SUVA, May 11. There is a typhoid epidemic at Suva. It is officially reported that 125 Europeans, 10 Fijians and 140 Indians are affected. The folio wing deaths are reported: Mrs French, aged ”. Mrs Saunders, aged 32. Mrs Dansey, (aged 46. Stanley Taylor, aged 35. It. A. Blanche, aged 15. Hubert Ewins, aged 15. Also four Indians. The chief medical officer considers that the outbreak is abating. Temporary hospitals have been opened at Tograk Methodist School for natives and boys, and at the Grammar School for Europeans.

A doctor and live nurses are arriving on Thursday from Sydney, and a doctor and four nurses from Auckland.

No more cases have been officially reported in the country districts. The Aorangi, due on Friday, will have no contact with the shore, taking in neither water nor vegetables.
