THE WAIOTAHI SCHOOL.

To the Editor of the Thames Advertiser. Sib,—Mr O'Sullivan, the Inspector, having visited the Go vera meat schools in this district, we again have a flourish of trumpets from the Waiolahi Creek. If Mr O'Sullivan has examined the whole of the schools on the Thames, and reported more favourably of the Waiolahi school than any other in the distriet, I say then that some of the members of the school committee, or whoever are the promoters of the inteuded treat to the children in consequence of the said favourable report, are quite justified in the course they are pursuing; but if they have not been brought into competition with the other schools under the Act, they are misleading the public and acting in an unfair and partial manner, to the prejudice of the other schools that are not so fortunate as to be situated in that favourite school locality, the Waiotahi Creek. I maintain, without prejudice to their worthy and, I' believe, deservedly respected master, that the other schools are working and plodding on unostentatiously, and, to put the matter in its mildest form, it is not flattering to the masters and mistresses of those schools to have this pet school continually brought under public notice. I am not in connection with any school, neither have I any children attending them, I write this merely as a lover of Faib Play. Not. 0,1874.
