(Per Anglo-Australian Telegraph Press Agency.) | — Cheistchuecit, Wednesday, 7,25 p.m. A cargo of Derwent potatoes imported by Cunningham and Co., from Australia, for seed purposes, were sold at auction at an average of £9 per ton. Private advices intimate an advance in potatoes, in consequence of a great demand on all the Australian markets.—ln the Supreme Court yesterday, the Grand Jury threw out the bill against Captain Orarrford, of the ship ' Cat-heart,' for shooting two sailors on the high seas. DuNEDiir, Wednesday, 7.30 p.m. The Harbour Board takes time to consider the appointment of an Engineer. There are twenty-four applications.— Messrs Brogden offer to do the work of deepening Dunediu Harbour on reasonable terms.
