A curious spiritualistic revelation is given by ;in American cmteaiporary:-—"The spirit photographs which piss current among erelulous apiritua'ists for genuine gboits of tlie departed are produced in variom ways. The latest and most scientific method is as follows; —The plain back-ground screen, before which the sitter is placed iu order to hare his p irtrait taken, is to be painted beforehand with the form of the desired'spirit,'the paint being comp'Sid of some solution of sulphate of quinine. When thi3 painting dries ou the screen it is invisible to the oye, but it sends out rays tint have power to impress the photo plate, and thus the image of the person, together wiih the quinine, ghost, are simultaneously developed upon the negitive,"
