The Waitemata nomination took place to-day. Messrs Von der Heydo and J. S. Macfarlane were proposed. The show of hands was as followsMacfarlane, 28; Von der Heyde, 24. The polling is fixed for the Bth. The proceedings at the nomination were tame.—A woman named Campbell, and her two sons, were arrested for the larceny of £40 lost by W, E. Crowe, which they found and bid.—Mr Kirby has been nominated for the City Council.—The dispute between Captain Casey and the crew of the ' Lady Bowen' re the ' Miltiades' salvage is not settled. Mr Kees applied for a detainer against the ship, but meantime she dropped down the harbour, ready to sail.
