Judgments fob Plaintiffs.-Albert Bruce v. John Evans, claim, £5 6s, balance of account; costs, £2 4s. Joseph Ardern v. Thomas Rusden, jun., claim £3, balance of account; costs, 19j.

Judgment Summons. — Philip Le Quesne v. John Graham. Claim, £8 Os ld,_ amount of a judgment obtained by plaintiff in Hamilton. Defendant was examined. He produced a receipt on which there was no stamp. It appeared that the receipt was given in 1868, and the amount was under £5. Tho caso was adjourned for a week.—Philip Lo Quesne v. Henry Syms; claim, £5 18s 6d, amount of a judgment of the same Court. The case was also adjourned for a week for the same reason as the former one, namely, that there was no proof of any judgment having been giveu. William Obeighton v. Edwaed Bomohuohb.—This was a claim of £2 10s for rent.-Mr Macdonald appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Tyler for the defendant.—lt appeared that tho land for which plaintiff claimed rent was formerly owned by Mr Hagin, who assigned it to the plaintiff. It was therefore claimed that plaintiff now held the same relationship of landlord to tho defendant formerly occupied by Mr Hagin, who had assigned his lease to plaintiff.-The freehold was also conveyed to Mr Cribb by the natives. After hearing the evidence and the arguments of counsel the Court gave judgment for plaintiff for tho amount claimed and costs, £5 Is. Ahdbbk v. Pabthdob.—This was a claim for hi, balance of a funoral furnishing account. The case had been entered on the sheet as settled out of Court.—Mr Macdonald said he appeared for the defendant, who, so far as he was awaro, had never been a party to tho settlement. He objected to have tho caso struck out. Whon called the second time there was no appearance of tho plaintiff, and tho Court gavo judgment against him for tho amount of Mr Macdonald's foe, £lls.
