Six men left here to-day in the barque 'Edwin Bassett' for the Palmer Eiver diggings. The' Go-ahead' sails for Manukau on Friday, at :10 a.m. Arrived: the ' Phoebe,' from the Manukau. She started again at 9: a.m. for Nelson.—Mr Holloway, now in Otago, is to be specially invited to this province to. report on its advantages for immigration. A sum of money has been voted to pay his expenses whilst here,—The Council has adjourned till together by the Speaker.
