INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

April 20.—The first of this year’s series of Druids' socials was held in tho Druids’ hall last night, the attendance being most satisfactory. Tho social was quite as enjoyable as any of its predecessors. ■ Mrs. M. Martin has resigned from tho staff of tho local school as she intends to take up her residence in Eltham.

Jones’s Buckjumpers gave a performance hero last night to a good and apparently well satisfied audience. Tho first game of football of the season was indulged in this afternoon when a friendly game was played amongst tho members of the local club. There is a possibility of the Inglewood Debating Society collapsing this winter for want of support. It behoves all those who enjoyed the debates last year to turn to and help to launch the Society on another winter’s usefulness.
