The Glorious Abmy of Officials.—The Actuary's report under section 3 of the Civil Service Act, 1871, estimates the present value of accrued interest of civil servants, under the pension provisions of previous Acts, at L 285,000. The case of the Mining Inspector v Mennie and Dey, for obstructing the thoroughfare in Upper Albert-street, has been withdrawn, the obstruction having been removed.
