(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) O MEETING OF THE GOLDEN PAH G.M.C.—SUDDEN.. DEATH .*-GREEN HARP CASE.—SHAREMABKET. Thursday. A meeting of the shareholders of the Goldpn Pah G.M.C. was held yesterday, ;it Auckland. After a stormy discussion, the following m >tion was carried : That Messrs Cochrane and Laurie he appointed auditors, to examine the accounts, and bring tip a report to an adjourned meeting to-morrow. It appeared from the directors’ report that tha agreement between the company and the original holders had not been completely executed, and that the company had in consequence at present no valid title to th“ ground. The further hearing of the Green Harp case was resumed to-day. Nothing of any consequence came up in thp evidence. The ens'* was adjourned till Tuesday next, ’ on which day the case for the prosecution will be finished. A man named moore, an express driver, died suddenly this morning whilst grooming his horse. His mate, named Floyd, was with him just before his death. Moore complained of feeling unwell. Floyd went away for a glass of brandy for deceased, and on his return he found him lying dead. An inquest was held in the afternoon, when a post mortem examination was held, and a verdict of serous apoplexy, brought on by intemperate habits. Mr J. M Lennox reports :—“ The share-mark-t is tolerably active. Cal donian shares have been slightly advanced ; there are buyers at L 29 10s; selb-rs, L3O. Cure shares are declining. My sales comprise : Caledonian, L 29 10x, L 29, L 29 10s ; Cure, 52s 6d, 55s 6d, 47s 6d ; Bismarck, 1.3, L 3 Is 6d ; Central Italy, 265. Closing buyers—Caledonian, L 29 10s; Thames, L 5 15s ; Cnre, L2 5h ; Bismarck, L 3. Sellers —Caledonian, L3O ; Thames, L 6 ; Bismarck, L 3 55... - -
