A reef threw feet thick has been struck in the Shamrock claim, Shag Valley, worth 19dwt to the ton. At a meeting of the delegates of the Pastor; l Societies held to-day, it was resolved to hold a Provincial Show during the Christmas week for live stock, machinery, grain, &c. The Dunedin Brewers will give £3O in prizes, besides £2O for the best samples of colonial barley.
