VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE.
A meeting is called for to-night, for the purpose of organising a Volunteer Fire Brigade in Graharifttown. Several gentlemrn have, we understand, signified their intentian of supporting the movement, and no doubt a brigade will be started. In a town like ouis something of the sort is wanted, as the brigade at present in existence, however strong they may be, are not numerically strong enough to cope with anything like a large conflagration. The meeting is to be held at seven o’clock at the Governor Bowen Hotel.
