COROMANDEL.

(from our own correspondent) Waikoiiomiko. —Finished the lower cutting to the face, and came upon some more very good specimens. A lower level will now be started at once.

Wild Flower. —This company came across two leaders on the surface, which gave good yields, and they are now putting in two drives to cut them at a low level.

The Victory have come upon a very nice leader at the face of the drive now in 50 feet, which is supposed to be that in the Pride of Tokatca.

The Argo are re-timbering the old tunnel 50 feet in, and laying a tramway with a view of carrying the drive on 200 feet. The Neptune have completed their crushing, but the gold not being smelted I could mt ascertain the exact quantity per ton, but it is considerably under oz. I hear. The Harbour View commenced a rise upon the lender in the cross-cut to test it. A little gold is seen as the leader is broken down. The main tunnel is also being continued and the leader followed.

The Royal Oak continue to stope out on the specimen leader. A fair show of gold is visible in the stone. The manager expects another crushing in a few weeks’ time.

The Bismarck have sunk them winze 54 feet. The leader is widening out, and gold is frequently seen in the stone in taking it out. The contract for another winze will be started to-morrow.

In the Siege of Paris drive the face is one mass of stone, rather broken up at present. A little gold is frequently seen.
