THEATRE ROYAL.
Theme was a very full house at this Theatre, on Saturday night, larger than we have seen for a long time, to witness fhe performance of “ the Lancashire Lass.” Mr Hoskins has played in this piece so often, and so successfully amongst us, that it was sure to draw a large house, and so much was it appreciated that it is announced for to-night again. The play is so well known that there is no necessity to attempt to describe it here. The principal characters were played by Hoskins, “ A Party by the name of Johnson, ’ Jones ns Ned, Miss Colville as Ruth, and Keogh as Mr Redburn. There were several capital pictures during the evening, the best of which were at the end of the third act, when Ned was arrested for the murder of Johnston, and at the end ol the fourth Act when [Slippery Dick was arrested by the sergeant. The latter was uncommonly well done by Mr Dunn. Those who could not attend on Saturda}’ night will have a chance of doing so tonight, for, as we mentioned before, the “ Lancashire Lass” will tie repeated.
