PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE .

A Provincial Gazette was published on Wednesday, by which the provisions of parts 2, 3,*4, 5,6, and 7of the Highway Boards empowering Act are extended to the Mangawai and Maurice Town Districts; that piece of land, 5 acres twenty-three perches, known as Waipatukahu No 4, is made a reserve under the Goidmining Districts Act; a schedule of lands to be sold at Gisborne on the 18th July is published ; the application for a mining lease by the Appollo Goldmining Company has been withdrawn ; the lease of the City of St. Andrews Goldmining Company lias been surrendered ; the election of William Maxwell, of Parnell, for Mongonui, lias been gazetted. The following tenders have been accepted : —Repairing, &c., the Tamaki bridge, L. Tattersall, Auckland, £197 ; making road acioss Shoal Bay, H, Pitts and A. Goldie, £1175 ; erection of bridges over Mangakowliai and Kariwatiiwha C-eeks, Edward Message, Ngaruawaliia, £550. Applications are made to register the Wood’s Poiut, Great Northern, Turn of the Tide, Persian, Royal Sovereign, Laughing Waters, Morse’s Creek, Kingstone, Alhambra, and Little Anglo Goldmining Companies.
