RECHABITISM.

The Hope of New Zealand Tent of Juvenile Rechabites celebrated their first anniversary last evening, by a festive gathering in the Karaka School-room. The first part of the programme consisted of a well got up soiree, to which about two hundred visitors sat down. This was supplemented by a very pleasant and enjoyable social meeting, over which Captain Ninths presided with ability and satisfaction. Several recitations were rendered in a creditable manner, and various songs and glees pleasantly sung. Two or three hours being thus agreeably and profitably spent, the company sang the National Anthem, gave three hearty cheers for her Britannic Majesty, and dispersed.
