DEATH OF MR G. BULL.
We are sorrv to have to record the death of Mr George Bull, who departed this life yesterday morning, at the Hospital. It will he remembered that he was thrown from his horse on Tuesday evening, and suffered a severe concussion of the hrain. From the time of the accident, he only uttered one word before he died, and that was the monosyllable “Yes,” in answer to a question from his wife. Mr Bull has been on the Thames from a very early period of the existence of the field, lie having erected a small battery on the Karaka Creek, in 1868. He afterwards built the larger machine known as Bull’s No. 1 Battery, and also purchased another waterpower battery further up the creek. The deceased gentleman some time since suffered a severe fracture of the leg, from which he had hardly recovered when he came to such an untimely end. As regards there being any inquiry into the cause of his death, we should imagine that nothing of the sort will take place, as he died in hospital, under the care of the surgeon. The deceased leaves a wife and two children—a son and daughter—to mourn their loss. We perceive by advertisement that the funeral will take place to-morrow (Sunday) afternoon. All members of the Pride of Parnell Lodge, No. 4,409, A.0.F., are requested to meet at the Court-room, St. George’s Hall, tomorrow, at half-past 1 o’clock p.m.
