THE TUHUA GOLDFIELD.

The Tuhua goldfield may now be com sidered an established fact; whetner it is payable or not remains to be seen. Ihe natural outlet to the supposed auriferous ground will be via the Wanganui river ; under the most favourable circumstances, from Orakau will be nothing more than a bridle-track for some years to Come. The natives are very impatient for the longexpected visit by His Excellency the Governor. If the result of the expected interview with King Tawhiao should be satisfactory to the latter, the new goldfield will be thrown open to Europeans, and the King will visit Auckland and declare an eveilasting peace.— [Te Awamutu Correspondent.]— Herald.
