Insurance Companies. Norwich union life insurance SOCIETY. . Empowered by special Acts of Parliament and by Royal Charter, in the reign of Queen Anne, to undertake all business connected with Life Assurance, IS A PURELY MUTUAL OFFICE. The Norwich Union Life Society has no distinct body of proprietors ; the insurers at large are the recipients of the savings of the institution : the premiums paid, beingln fact only deposits, revert to those who contribute them. SETTLEMENT POLICIES. To meet one of the greatest wants of the day, the Norwich Union issues Policies in the nature of settlements, whereby a man in solvent circumstances, provided the matter is bon& fide, may secure (WITHOU' - the risk' OB' bankruptcy) a certain and direct provision for his family. RESOURCES. Irrespective of the immense annual revenue of this Society gradually and surely on the increase, it possesses a reserve fund of £2,300,000 and upwards, available for its requirements. RATES OF PREMIUM Are framed as low as are consistent with the due safety of the Society, and its Actuary is calculated to be one of the most competent authorities in England, the Court of Chancery having recently had to avail themselves of his experience in these matters : and although apparently higher than most offices, assurers should not lose sightof the fact that they receive it back either in bonuses or additions to the sums assured, and, in electing to assure in this Society, they also avail themselves of the experience and safety of a concern that time has proved to be secure against all chances. LOANS. Surrender values are given for Policies of 3 years standing, or LOANS GRANTED ON SECURITY OB' SAME. FOREIGN. TRAVEL. Permitted to all parts of the globe in properly decked vessels and in time of peace. PARTICIPATION OF PROFITS. In this office it is anticipated that persons entering at 20 will be relieved from further premiums at 41 10 will be relieved from further premiums at GO 50 will be relieved from further premiums at 66 Medical fees are paid by the Company, and there arc no charges for Stamps, Policies, fee.
