SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO MR BULL.

We regret to have to record a most serious accident which happened to Mr Bull, of Bull’s Machine, Karaka Creek. It seems that lie was riding along Mackaystrect, yesterday afternoon, on rather a skittish pony, and, upon coining to where a drain is being made, at the junction of Sealey and Mack ay streets, he endeavoured to make the pony jump. The horse, however, went right into the ditch, pitching Mr Bull right on to his head, and rolling over two or three times before stopping. The unfortunate gentleman was picked up, and conveyed to the Hospital, where he now lies in 'a most critical state, having, the doctors fear, sustained a severe concussion of the brain. Up to a late hour last night, Mr Bull remained insensible, and lay in a sort of stupor, quite motionless. We sincerely trust that the accident will not prove fatal.
