DINNER ON BOARD THE NEVADA.

Captain Bletiien, yesterday afternoon, gave a dinner on board the U.S. s.s. Nevada to the principal citizens of Auckland. It was the best spread that has been seen for some time. The saloon was beautifully decorated with choice flowers and ferns. After the doth was removed, Captain Bletben proposed the health of the Queen, which was duly responded to; and the Mayor of Auckland proposed tlie President of the United States. Captain Beckham, R.M., proposed the Proprietary of the Mail Line Agents' healths, to which Mr Henderson responded. The Hon. Jas. Williamson proposed the health of Captain Bletiien, which was responded to by the Captain. Mr White, United States Consul, proposed the health of the Officers of the Nevada, to which Mr Davis, chief officer, responded. A most enjoyable evening was spent.
