POLICE COURT. — Yesterday. Before W. FiIASER, Esq., B.M. Disobeying a Summons. —Richard Spratt was brought upon warrant, received from Auckland, on a charge of disobeying a summons taken out against him by Esther Wright for refusing to provide for the support of her illegitimate child, of which she states he is the father.—Mrßullen applied for a remand of the defendant to Auckland.—The defendant asked if bail would be taken.—The R.M. said lie would take substantial bail for defendant's appearance if he could obtain it: himself in £SO, and two sureties of £25 each for his appearance before the Auckland Bench on the 28th inst.—The defendant said he should be able to obtain the required sureties.
