WAIOTAHI HIGHWAY BOARD.
A special meeting of the Board was held yesteday afternoon, at 3 p.m. at the Governor Bowen Hotel. Present—Mr Davies (chairman), Mr Anthony, the Secretary, and Mr Simpson, Engineer to the Board.
The following tenders were opened : For the erection of an engine-house for Fire Brigade: W. Wood, £sl 19s; G'olebrook (kauri). £47, (kahikatia) £4l; Mason and Reed, £4O 15s; McGuinners and West, £45 14s; Duke and Gallagher, £7l; Somerville Bros., £37 10s ; Ingliss, £SO 7s. For the filling-in and fencing of theallotment : W. Wood, £33; Coiebrook, £55 ; J. MeConnocliie. £35; Duke and Gallagher, £77 ; J. Somerville Bros., £sl 15s. There not being a quorum present, (be meeting lapsed, without any business being doue.
