CATION. The last man to lire in the competition for representatives shot at the butts yesterday morning, and, it will lie seen, made the capital score of 44, thus placing him second on the list of the live who have attained a sufficient number of points to enable them to be classed as representatives. Mr Fenton was the volunteer who fired, and his scoring was—

The Engineer Company, Captain Rowe, and No. 2 11.R.Y. Company, Captain Barnett, will he inspected by LieutenantColonel Ilarington this evening, at 4 o’clock, and the companies are requested to assemble at the Volunteer Hall at a quarter to 4 o’clock. No. 3 Company H.R.V., Captain Newby, and the Thames R.R. Cadet Corps, Lieut. Gudgeon, and the Engineer Cadet Corps, Lieut. Pascoe, will bo inspected by the Colonel tomorrow morning at 7.30. The Thames Scottish Company, Captain T. L. Murray, assemble at 5.30 to-morrow evening for the annual inspection. No. 1 Royal H.R.V., Captain Lipscy, the Thames Ride Rangers, Captain Williams, and the Navals, under Captain Best, are to be inspected on Saturday, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, on the T.C.C. ground, when both the Rifle and Naval bands will be present. No. 1 11.R.Y., the T.R.R. Company, and No. 3 Company 11.R.Y., will meet at the Volunteer Hall. Shorthand, this evening at 7 o’clock, for parade, and it is necessary that all members should be present to go through the manual and platoon exercise previous to being inspected.
