MR MACKAY AND HIS CALUMINATORS.
To the Editor of tiie Thames Gvardiak,
Sir, —It was not my intention to have again written on this subject ns my challenge in your journal of the 12th iiißt. was sufficient for the purpose 1 had in view. In fact, I know that Mr Mackay himself is quite able to defend his position and doings when attacked by an honest opponent, but what surprises me most is that a journal professing to act on the “ square ” should allow its columns tu he filled with the ravings and balderdash of a writer whose ignorance of the matter on which he writes is apparent, and who, the editor himself in foot-notes says, that “ Block 27,” alias “ Blockhead 27,” is stating matter which he is unable to prove, and in some instances false. The public are indeed tired of effusions at variance with the truth, and more than tired of the journals in which they appear. —I am, &c., Yixcit Veritas.
