MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS.
A meeting of shareholders of the Conquering Hero Goldinining Company (Regisled), Coromandel, was held at Ihe office, No. 12, Insuiauoe Buildings, on Thursday afternoon, w hen the repoit of the mining manager, Mr Edwards, was read, recommending the erection of a small engine, for pumping, and giving a very satisfactory account of the futiu'e prospects of the mine. The balance-sheet anil statement of receipts and expenditure to 50th December last were laid before the meeting, and ordered to he audited. It was resolved that the manager should convene an extraordinary mooting, for the purpose of passing rules and electing directors, it having been found that former proceedings were informal in many respects.
