INQUEST.

An inquest was held at the Globe Hotel on Monday, before Jas. Kilgoui, Esq., J.P., Coroner, touching the death of Elizabeth Ma garct McGinn, an infant four weeks old. The evidence was to the effect that the deceased child was put to bed by its mother about midnight. The father went to bed about the same time. Both parents were sober, and the child in good health. About 2 a.m. the mother gave the child the breast, and then placed it between he ■ husband and herself, and then fell asleep. On waking about 6 a.m. she found the child lying across her arm, quite dead. A post mortem, examination was made of the body. The jury returned a verdict of accidental deatli by suffocation.
