THE MESSIAH.

A committer MEETING was held last night, and all the final arrangements were made. To-day, the performers, to the number of about 60, will arrive per ‘ Golden Crown,’ and will be met at Tararu by a deputation, and will proceed in the omnibusses in readiness to receive them direct to the church, -where a rehearsal is to take place at 1.30 p.m., none except performers being admitted. There should be a very large attendance in the evening, both on account of the musical treat prepared for them, and the object for which it is so provided. The church has been well prepared, under the circumstances, and is well lighted and seated throughout, and should, we think, be excellent, as far as the sound is concerned. We anticipate that the place will be crowded.
