VOLUNTEER CLASS FIRING.
Thk Major Commanding the District has kindly furnished us with the particulars of the scoring in the first period of class firing made by the various companies. The following are the highest scores made by the members of each company, and the numbers who have passed from the third into the second class. We may state that 44 is considered an excellent score, according to Hythe clasnficatiou. Class firing will be discontinued for the next week, owing to the work that will be going on about the ranges, connected with the sports on the 30th.
