Auckland, Nov. 23, 8.15 p.m. In the Supreme Court to-day, in bankruptcy, the case of Bach and Sons was adjourned until next sitting.
In the Provincial Council Mr. Tonks moved the address in reply to the Superintendent’s speech. Some discussion ensued, and the management of the goldfields was condemned. The address was agred to. The other business related chiefly to Government Bills.
An old man, named Berridge, died suddenly at a boarding house, Alber f • street, to-day. Bishop Croke was well received at Alexandra. His Lordship preached a sermon in aid of the fund for building a new Chi”:ch. An address of welcome wus presented to him by the settlers.
