AMUSEMENTS.
Academy of Music. —The powerful drama of “Formosa” was reproduced for the eighth and last time yesterday evening, to a very good house. It must have been very gratifying to the managers to have seen such a continued success attend this piece. To-morrow night “ Love’s Sacrifice is announced ; and on Friday evening Mr Hoskins will take a complimentary benefit, performing in two favorite pieces, on which occasion a very attractive programme will be produced. We heartily wish Mr Hoskins a good house, for very much is dne to his untiring energy in catering so judiciously and liberally for the public.Tiieatre Royal. —The “ Robber’s Wife” was reproduced here last evening with the same eclat as on the previous night. The house, somewhat meagre, evidently appeared to thoroughly enjoy the piece. ’ On Friday evening the company will perform at the American Theatre, and we trust to see even a better house than on their previous visit to the same place of amusement last week.
