PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
A Gazette published on Saturday contains a notification of the resignation of Mr. J. Sheehan as Provincial Treasurer, and the appointment of Mr. J. W. Hurst in his place. The appointment of Mr. Sheehan as Goldfields Secretary for this province is also gazetted. The Superintendent notifies his intention to grant a mining lease to the Imperial Crown G.M.C. The application for lease of the Felix, Tararu, is withdrawn. Six leases applied for at Coromandel, two by J. C. Davis and one by W. Horne, and another by Mr. Tierney for the Harbour View G.M.C., are also approved, and will be granted, if no valid objection be offered. Applications .are made to l'Qgister the Shamrock G.M.C., Coromandel, and the Goldeu IPng, Olunui Thames. Particulars will be found in our advertising columns. Scriedulc of poundkeepers fees, appointment of collectors of highway rates for Tauranga, Omaha, and Mouut Eden, and tenders for road metal at Otahuhu, and for erecting lock-up at Waiuku, are also published. The Gazette also contains the bye laws relative to paving Queen-street, removing obstructions in public thoroughfares, and for regulating lodging-houses. The accounts for the quarter ending 30tli September are also published.
