WAIOTAHI HIGHWAY BOARD.
At the meeting of the above yesterday, a conference was held with the members of the Kai'ieranga Highway District Board in reference to the proposed lines of tramway along Pollen-street. There were present of the Ivauerauga Board Messrs Bur gess (Chairman), Lipsoy, and Mill; Of the Waiotahi Board, Messrs. Davies(Chairrnan), Anthony, Dowden, and Rowe. The plans of the proposed tramway were submitted to the Boards, and examined by them"; and it was ultimately resolved, on the motion of Mr. Rowe, seconded by Mr. Dowden, that decision on the matter be deferred until after Wednesday next. In the meantime the Engineers of the respective Boards were directed to prepare a report .upon the matter. The members of the Ivauerauga Board then retired, after which the Waiotahi members set themselves to consider the objections to the Assessment Roll. In Mr. Robert Graham’s case it was resolved that payment of £9O within a month should be taken for the amount of his rates, £IOO 15s. Mr. Watters assessment was reduced by £BO ; Mr. Mulligan's, by £25 ; Mr. Mahoney’s, by £2O ; Mr. Knoops, by £25.; Mr. Reid, by £25; Mr. O’Connor, by : £2O ; Mr. Fanner, by £25 ; Mr. Donnelly’s, by £2O. _ In the case of Dr. Fischer and Mr. Nixon no reduction was made. The following transfers were made : Platt to Cook. Vicker to Unthank, Osborn to Binncy, Butterworth to Murdock,Cyuric Lloyd to W. Lloyd.
