CHITRAL.
Calcutta, May 1. Shir Afzul and other captured chiefs will be sent into the interior of India and kept under surveillance there. It is reported here that the Afghans have put Umra and brothers into confinement at Asmar. May 3. The Afhaus are willing to surrender Umra Khan to the British when desired. The surrender is expected to be made shortly.
