He has been offered a good appointment by Brockwell, who ia anxious to secure the brilliant Parramatta bat for the SurreyCounty. NEW SOUTH WALES V. SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Adelaide, Jan. 7. South Australia in their first innings scored 270. New South Wales in their second innings scored 247. South Australia, with 170 runs to get, have lost three wickets for 24 runs. THE ENGLISHMEN V. BALLARAT. Melboubne, Jan. 7. The Englishmen at Ballarat made 187 runs. The local men have lost 13 wickets for 52. Jan. 8. The Ballarat cricket match was drawn. The local team were all out in the first innings for 103. The Englishmen in the second innings lost seven wickets for 149.
