Commandant Ballington Booths of the Salvation Army, arrived at ’Frisco from Europe on July 22. Paris is talking of the marked attention, paid by Prince Francis Joseph of Battenberg to Miss Anna Gould, a daughter of the late Jay Gould, the American millionaire. Battenberg has not a franc to his name, and therefore is seeking to sell his rank for coin.
