LIBERAL CONFERENCE.

Lokdon, June 20. At a meeting of two thousand Liberal delegates a resolution was carried demanding the abolition of the power of veto possessed by the House of Lords. The Liberal Conference rejected M. Labouchere’s amendment for the abolition of the power of veto of the House of Lords introduced this session. No speakers of any note took part in the debate on the question. Mr Labouchere declares the attempt to obtain autonomy for Ireland to be a farce while the Hereditary House is retained.
