THE HELLERS.
The Holler Coterie Company had a very x good attendance at the Volunteer Hall, Temuka, last evening. This was the return visit of the company to Temuka, and it speaks well for their popularity that the attendance was large. The company consists of Mr and Mrs Heller, and Mr Abbott, who is both a good pianist and singer. The first part of the performance consisted of a number of sleight-of-hand tricks, performed in an extremely clean and clever manner by Professor Heller. The second part consisted of songs, in which Messrs Abbott and Heller rendered, extremely well, some ditties of a very humourous nature, which literally brought down the house. Both gave as humorous a song as we have ever heard. Next came the cabinet trick, in which two men from the audience tied the professor. He, however, performed several extraordinary tricks while thus tied. The last part consisted of Mrs Heller’s second sight exhibition, in which she replied to a large number of questions written by the audience, but which she was not allowed to see. The exhibition was a very clever and mystifying one.
