A FEMALE POISONER.
Melbourne, June 15. The police are vigorously investigating the antecedents of Mrs Neidel, who is in custody on a change of poisoning the two brothers Junker. The bodies of her husband and three children will probably be exhumed. The police are in possession of information showing that her children displayed similar symptoms to the Junkers. On© child died in 1886 ; another in 1890, and a third in 1891. Her husband died in 1889. All four were insured for £IOO a piece, which Mrs Neidel drew- Among the letters discovered is one to the surviving brother, with whom she was enamoured. It complains of her treatment at the hands of Mrs Junker, sear., when the latter came to take back the dead body of her son Louis to Adelaide, aud contains this sentence —“ Remember the day you cast me off for your mother, you will be motherless ; for I shall kill her.”
