WOODBURY CEMETERY BOARD.

The board held !i mooting on the evening uf the 'Jth inst. Present—- | Messrs Flatman (chairman), McDonald, Morrison, Thatcher, and Wooding. Tho chairman reported that Mr Fiiield had finished his contract for tho formation of the cemetery road, as well as an additional piece of road round tho circle, for which he had charged ICts. 110 (tho ehairman), had had this done, as he considered tho work woidd have been incompJoto and unsatisfactory otherwise. All payments in connection with this I

contract had been paid. The chairman’s action was full endorsed by the meeting. Mr Flatman obtained leave of absence during the forthcoming session of Parliament, and Mr Thatcher was elected acting-chairman pro tem. A letter was read from Mr Cooling, suggesting that the grass growing round the trees planted on Arbor Day, 1893, should be mown, to prevent injury to the young trees. It was decided to offer Mr Cooling 6s to do the work required. It was also decided to call for tenders for gorse trimming. Messrs Thatcher and Wooding undertook to see the work carried out as per specification. After passing an account of 6s, the board rose.
