London, March 19
At the Trades Union meeting in Hyde Park a resolution was carried unanimously in favor of abolishing the House of Lords. The procession, which was one of the largest in the history of London, had in its vast column a coffin, as the emblem of the death of the Royal veto, and to bury workers who did not desire to substitute for the House of Lords an electors’ chamber.
March 20.

Melbourne, March 19.
In connection with the announcement that the Pastoralists’ Union of Sydney will make a fresh agreement, it is understood that this action is preliminary to a general reduction of wages, which is alleged to be rendered imperative by the heavy fall in the prices of wool. It is expected that an official announcement will be made be made of the amount of the reduction in a few days. It will not affect Queensland whose shearing is now going on under the existing agreement. The first change will be made in New South Wales.
Sydney, March 20. The Pastoralists’ Union’s new agreement is exactly the same as that in force in Queensland. There will be no important change from the old one, and the rates of wages will remain unaltered.
