THE BRAZILIAN REBELLION.
Bio de Jaxeibo. March 13. squadron and taken refuge on a Portuguese warship. The war is virtually over. March 15. The whole population of the city withdrew to the suburbs yesterday. A heavy bombardment began upon the insurgents' fleet to which one rebel fort replied. The remainder were silent. The Government fleet entered the harbor, and all the rebels lowered their flags. The surrender was unconditional. The French and Portuguese warships refused to give shelter to insurgent officers. Admirel De Gama is reported to be aboard a. British ma.n-oi-war. Admiral tyteljq is on board the Aquidabon, which is out to sea, Admiral De Gama has left the harbour on board a French war-ship, having been ejected from a Portuguese vessel.
