THE RAILWAY GRAIN RATES.

A special meeting meeting of the Geraldiue Farmers’ Club was held on Thursday last, when on the motion of Mr M. 0. Orbell, seconded by Mr C. G. Tripp, the following resolution was carried: — “ To the Railway Commissioners—ln con* sequence of the extreme low rates ruling for grain this season this Club respectfully request the Commissioners of Railways to take into their serious consideration the advisability of lowering the rail tariff on farm produce.” The secretary was instructed to forward a copy of the resolution to the Premier and Chief Commissioner.
