The result of the euquiry was that Mr Kelman found one specifio considered of great value amongst farmers, a prescription of which he went to the trouble of procuring from a Mr H. 6. Hunt, chemist, London. As this might be of much use to farmers in this district, Mr Kelman has generously consented to publish it for their benefit. The footrot paste ia made as follows : Verdigris 2oz Bluestone 4oz. Sulphate of zinc 4oz. Burnt alum 802. Bole 2oz. Honey sufficient to make a stiff paste. If dissolved in hot water, the paste can be used as a liquid. We advise farmers to cut this recipe out aud paste it up somewhere where they can always refer to it when required.
