TEMUKA FLORAL AND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

A meeting of the* above was held at Mr Marshall's Rooms last evening. Present Messrs E. Herbert (in the chair), James Wright, P. Wareing, G. Smith (M.R.,) H. West, and F. Saunders. The Secretary submitted au approximate statement of receipts aud expenditure, also of liabilities. Accounts to the amount of £l7 18s lid were parsed for payment as soon as funds are available. Felati/e to payment of prize money, it we? decided to pay out the same as soon as list hag been checked. The Secretary statad that Mr E. C. Daim had consented at his request to allow prize moneys out at his office, and, on the motion of Mr Wareing, Mr Daun was accorded a cordial vote of thanks for his offer. On the motion of Mr Wareing, seconded by Mr Wright, core 1 "al votes of thanks wei > passed to the judges in all classes, the same to be conveyed to them in writing. Special votes of thank i were paised to Messrs Dann, H. M. Miles, aud Albert Smith for the'r ser%'ices in connection with the show. Votes of thanks were also passed to the donors of prizes and to lenders of material, and similar votes to the secretary, Mr A. W. Gaze, and to the treasurer, Mr J. Bennett. On the motion of Mr Holwe 11 . seoonded by Mr Saunders, tlie secretaiy was instructed to ask Mr T. Buxton to> audit the books prior to annual me i Ing. Several minor matters were attendc 1 to and the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the chair.
