The latest news from Matabelelaud states that the Matabeles do no intend to retire over the Zambesi River, as it is impossible to transport their cattle across the intervening country. They are making preparations to offer a determined resistance to the Imperial and Chartered Company’s forces. Capetown, Nov. 2. King Lobengula is reported to be fleeing in a north-west direction. Half of Khama’s regiment were killed, and his power is broken.
