MR EDGELER’S REPLY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Will you kindly give mo space in your valuable paper to reply to Mr T. Buxton’s letter. 1 wish him and his direct veto friends to understand that it is not that he hit me so hard or that he has or can shut me up as he v ould wish. Now, with the exception of a few words above and a few at the end, this reply was written and posted on the 23rd of last mouth. Why does he not say direct veto, aud not try to bring innocent people into the blame. As to my mystical string of nonentities, they are not so mystical. They are the initials of the name of my residence, and I can tell Mr T. that he or anyone else will not get Bell Grove Cottage in Arowhenua for a hundred golden sovereigns—nonentities, or whatever he may please to call them. Nqw Ido hope that the public will sympathise with the shepherds of the direct veto flocks, for I hear they have had great trouble to find their lost sheep. I hear that they had to go to the Point or Levels, then to the Waimate Bush, then to the Genuine Bush without success, tq the Waihi Bush, qml there they found him, put liii'h on ihqir shoulders, and brought him hoino r'hjoipiug, put experts gay'hg is the wrong' sheep. I do' Hot their bq-a-a-iug is so muoli Yours, ie, allke- ~ . C*. Eegelek, B.G.C.A. Qct-. 30th. “ An Elector’s” letter is crowded out, together with other matter,
