FATAL ACCIDENTS.

A child two years of age, named Featherston, felj. from a gallery at the the bazaar at Kaiapoi on Thursday and died on Tuesday morning. A fourteen months' old daughter of Mr Charles Kunsden, farmer,of Strath Taieri, Otago, waß accidentally drowned in a pool of water on Tuesday. The body of a man about 50 years of age, was found floating in the Auckland harbour on Tuesday afternoon, There is a slight cut over one of the eyes, but no mark of violence. The body has not been identified. George Brown and William Turubull, setters at Ureuui, were drowned while fording ths Mphakuturo river on horseback on Sunday. BfQWtt .and Turubull, who were maried to two sistecs, had b«?.en to Mokau and were returning home. Deceased were 25 and 30 years of age, respectively. The police are dragging the rjver for the bodies. It is supposed that a quicksand, was the cause of the accident. A sad fatality occurred at Murdjjs.on on Monday. Mrs O'Rorke and Miss McInroe were crossing the Buller river at the ford, when the horse jibbed and broke joose from the trap. A man who saw'the accent weut t > the assistance of the ladies' wife lug horse and dray. When they were in the aci oi throwing the child they had with them into the dray the trap turned over, and both swomon being precipitated into the riyer and carried away by the current and drowned.
