A CORRECTION.
TO THE EDITOR, Sib,— l saw in your issue of Saturday) October 7th, a letter signed by Mr Bdgeler referring to the “ Wonderful Great Politician.” I am at a loss to know who this wonderful great politician, is unless it is to himself he refers. Ho also states in his letter that he “ hears that the Amalgamated Shearers’ and Laborers’ Union have written to Mr Buxton asking him to come forward as their candidate at the approaching elections.” Now his sense of hearing must be above the average, or above the ordinary at any rata, for as as a member of the Union, I have been unable to hear what Mr Edgeler alleges he has heard. I think the sense of hearing must be a Heavenly gift to him. However, I may state, on behalf of the Union, that they do not intend to even ask Mr Buxton to represent them in the new House. The Union is going to support the policy of the Government of the day. In conclusion, I may suite that our candidate’s views are too Well known for us to pass over in the manner Mr Edgeler’s vision has whispered,—l am, etc., Union.
